Nutrition can get so confusing, right? Even the experts disagree! Are you going Vegan? or Paleo?
One thing we all seem to agree on is the health benefits of fruits and vegetables are nothing short of astounding! I often tell clients that phytonutrients (plant compounds) are like nature’s magic fairy dust! But are all fruits and vegetables equally as powerful? Unfortunately, the answer is NO. Therefore, you can’t just pick your favorite (like bananas) and eat mounds of them. A better strategy to employ is diversity- a little of this, and a little of that. Some particularly great choices to include in the mix are berries, broccoli, kale, and garlic.
Try to eat every color every day, and don’t forget to use spices!
